The outlet pressure of a rectangular feed screw pump can be adjusted in several ways:
Adjusting the valve opening: Install a regulating valve in the outlet pipeline. Adjusting the valve opening changes the pipeline resistance, thereby affecting the pump's outlet pressure. A wider valve opening reduces the resistance and correspondingly reduces the outlet pressure; conversely, a narrower valve opening increases the resistance and increases the outlet pressure.
Changing the motor speed: Adjusting the motor speed changes the pump's speed, thereby affecting the pump's outlet pressure. Generally speaking, higher motor speeds increase the pump's outlet pressure, while lower speeds reduce the outlet pressure. However, it's important to note that changing the motor speed may affect the pump's flow rate and efficiency.
Adjusting the safety valve setting: The safety valve is a critical component for protecting the pump and piping system. By adjusting the safety valve's opening pressure, the pump's outlet pressure can be controlled to a certain extent. However, it's important to note that the safety valve setting should be based on the system's maximum operating pressure and adjusted within a safe range. Check the internal condition of the pump: If the pump outlet pressure fluctuates abnormally or cannot be adjusted, it may be caused by wear, blockage or damage of the internal parts of the pump. At this time, it is necessary to check and repair the internal parts of the pump to ensure its normal operation.
